Ara Arida believes Catriona Gray will win Miss Universe

MANDALUYONG CITY - Former beauty queen and Kapamilya actress Ariella "Ara" Arida believes that Catriona Gray will bring the fourth Miss Universe crown to the Philippines.
The press talked with Arida during the BFC Laboratories’ “Transformations-Beauty + Fitness” event held at SM Megamall Event Center last November 4.
“Hi Cat (Catriona Gray)! I know you’ll gonna win this. Alam ko kung ano ang dapat mong gawin basta sa akin lang, have fun. Enjoy the journey. You can do it. For the Philippines,” said Arida during the interview.
She also give some tips to Catriona Gray.
“Ang secret diyan, ma-maintain mo ‘yung energy mo from the start till the end. Kung gaano ka-ka strong sa simula, kailangan sa dulo, mag stand out ka pa din.”
Catriona Gray will represent the Philippines at the Miss Universe 2018 pageant scheduled on December 17 in Bangkok, Thailand.

Meanwhile, Arida gives an inspiring message to some Filipina beauty queens who failed to place in the international pageants this year.
“To all our queens, stay positive. Everything has a purpose. Huwag mawalan ng pag-asa. What’s really important naman is the life after the pageant. And for sure lahat kami naintindihan naming lahat ng pinagdaanan nyo. Kaya be positive lang and be happy. Okay lang yan.”
Bb. Pilipinas Globe 2018 Michelle Gumabao competed in Miss Globe 2018 this October, only made it to the Top 15 and won the Miss Social Media and Dream Girl awards. Bb. Pilipinas Grand International 2018 Eva Patalinjug and Reina Hispanoamericana Filipinas 2018 Alyssa Muhlach failed to enter the first cut in their respective international pageants.
Ara Arida is a former beauty queen who won Bb. Pilipinas Universe 2013. She competed in Miss Universe 2013 in Moscow, Russia and placed as third runner-up to the eventual winner, Gabriela Isler of Venezuela. She now stars in the ABS-CBN show, “The Playhouse”.
