Reigning Miss Asia Pacific International, Francielly Ouriques, arrived yesterday at NAIA Terminal 1 after a 35-hour travel from Brazil. The beauty queen is tasked to promote the Miss Asia Pacific International pageant which is celebrating its 50th founding anniversary this year. Established in the Philippines as the Miss Asia Quest in 1968 and the contest later acquired the defunct Queen of the Pacific and was renamed as the Miss Asia Pacific Quest.
Ouriques was warmly welcome by MAPI international affairs directors Vicky Decano Bugayong and Onin Mas. She was also met my selected members of the press.

She will be busy for her stay until July 28 for a series of outreach programs and charity projects as lined up by the organizers.
“I’m so excited for what’s coming and I'm so happy and excited be here again. I consider the country my second home", Ourigues said to the press.
